With climate risks intensifying, the need to build resilient,
adaptable cities has never been more urgent. Yet, resource
constraints and outdated infrastructure pose significant challenges.
For 2025, we invite the next generation of changemakers to unite
around this critical theme:
"Cultivating Climate-Positive Cities."
Together, participants will develop powerful, scalable solutions
aligned to key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN
SDGs):
To make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
Why?
Cities drive economic growth and innovation centres, yet they
can often contribute to environmental harm and social
inequalities. Building sustainable cities requires intentional
action—enhancing affordable housing, public transportation,
reducing pollution, and promoting green spaces.to create
inclusive, thriving communities.
To take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
Why?
As climate-driven disasters become increasingly frequent and
severe, immediate climate action is imperative. Preventing
global temperatures from rising beyond 1.5°C demands rapid,
economy-wide shifts toward climate-resilient development, and
preparing youths for new climate realities based on their
education.
